Last night saw 'Round Midnight's first BBC Proms Concert at The Fire Station, Sunderland.
In front of a sell out crowd, it was an electric night with an eclectic mix of special guests and chat, including Grammy-nominated jazz trumpeter Theo Croker, who performed tracks from his hotly anticipated new album Dream Manifest, and the boundary-pushing Joe Webb Trio, celebrating Oscar Peterson 100 years after his birth.
Opening the evening was shining new talent, North East jazz artist Rivkala, recently spotlighted by BBC Music Introducing as one of its ‘Ones to Watch for 2025'.
Lauded by critics, you can listen back to the show now on BBCSounds and catch up with the rest of the Proms programme here>
