Folded Wing have been named among the UK’s most innovative companies in the 2012 Smarta 100 awards!
The awards recognise small businesses which are mould-breaking, dynamic and make a significant difference in their industries.
More than a quarter of the finalists in the Smarta 100 awards are female-run businesses like Folded Wing and it’s amazing to have the radio industry recognised in this way.
The nomination follows on from our “Indie of the Year” award at last year’s Radio Academy Production Awards.
There’s also a chance to win “Business of the Year” which is decided by an online public vote on the Smarta 100 site. The winning company will receive £10,000 towards a nominated project; if we’re successful, we hope to spend the money on a series of “flash-mob” style pop-up radio stations at iconic locations around the UK!
