Martyn Ware is known to most as a founding member of both The Human League and Heaven 17 and is one of the UK’s most successful producers, having been behind classic material from Chaka Khan, Terence Trent D’Arby, Tina Turner & Marc Almond. Martyn has also worked extensively writing music for film, theatre, TV and radio.
Having been introduced as a lecturer to the Red Bull Music Academy by Karen, Martyn came to Folded Wing to make the first Society of Sound podcasts for Bowers & Wilkins speakers. Martyn and Illustrious also worked with Folded Wing on the ‘ReAnimate’ event at the National Portrait Gallery, a night of sensory stimulation exploring the body, movement and the senses!
Martyn has also produced and presented a series of events entitled “Future Of Sound” at BAFTA Piccadilly and The Royal Institution, London and is creating sonic architectural works for both the London Architectural Biennale and the British Pavilion at the Venice Architectural Biennale in 2006. He lectures extensively on music production, technology, creativity and soundscape composition at universities and colleges across the UK and Europe
