Approached by the BBC for ideas leading up to the 2007 Electric Proms, Folded Wing’s Karen P initiated a unique collaborative project between the UK’s Jamie Cullum and Japan’s Soil & “Pimp” Sessions. As well as being broadcast on the BBC in the UK, Folded Wing facilitated the show’s syndication to Japan’s J-Wave Radio.

This unique collaborative project illustrates the Folded Wing ethos beautifully – bringing musicians from different disciplines and ends of the earth together to create a unique live experience and connecting audiences worldwide through multiple broadcast networks. The collaboration was such a hit that it was repeated in Japan in 2008.
