Christine & the Queens - 'iT'
"Christine & the Queens is an amazing, truly original artist - I've had their new album 'Chaleur Humaine' on repeat for weeks now. The opening track 'iT' is one of the best things I've heard in ages."

The Comet Is Coming - 'Channel The Spirits'
"Another amazing Shabaka Hutchings project! Definitely the best album I've heard this year so far. Jamie Cullum has played quite a few of their tracks on his Radio 2 show in recent months, including my favourite 'Journey Through The Asteroid Belt' which is on their debut album 'Channel The Spirits' that came out last Friday. Can't wait to see them live."

Låpsley - 'The Cliff'
"I've pretty much been listening to this album on repeat over the past few weeks. I, like a lot of people, have been waiting with baited breath for Låpsley's album, 'Long Way Home' and it more than makes up for the wait. Not only is Lapsley's voice stunning, the production across the album is really interesting. It's really hard for me to pick a favourite as I genuinely love every track on it but this is my current favourite..."

Frightened Rabbit - 'Death Dream'
"Frightened Rabbit are my favourite band ever! I'm so glad they are back and can't wait for the new album. To be honest, on first listen of this track I wasn't totally won over, but then I listened whilst reading the lyrics and was just blown away, and now after many listens, I love this track to pieces, it's so layered and beautiful, one of their best to date."

Throws - 'The Harbour'
"Yes Yes! Super excited that Mike Lindsay & Sam genders from Tunng are back again! Their new album was recorded by the sea in Reykjavik and I cannot wait to hear it. They are two of my favourite voices from the UK, so I think this might be one of my albums of the year."

Al Dobson Jr - 'Xingu'
"Great follow up record from Al Dobson Jr & Rhythm Section - Rye Lane Vol II & III. The title of this track translates as the indigenous people of Brazil which gives you more than an inkling into the influences behind the lovely subtle percussion. Bradley Zero is running a proper label with a real identity, his parties have turned a run down pool hall into a mecca for low swung jazz infused house and I'll be staying tuned and sincerely hoping for more of the same."
