Following on from our Radio Lapland programme from last Christmas, Festival Spirit Radio is the latest soundscape feature that Folded Wing have produced for Arqiva, owners of over 50% of radio transmission systems in the UK. Presented by heavyweight DJ and festival legend, Mr Scruff, we are very excited about this project indeed!
This time we were asked by Arqiva to capture a slice of the summer ‘Festival Spirit’ for their new ‘Pop Up Radio’ digital station. This involved us visiting some of the more interesting festivals around the UK, from The Secret Garden Party to The Big Chill, and recording all the different goings on, the unique atmospheres, and the hazy summer vibes.
We were very lucky to have the help of two fantastic 'Arqiva Apprentices' for this project, Jade Gebbie and Ed Lancaster, and would like to thank them for all their hard work!
