Micky worked at the BBC for 13 years, during which time he became studio manager at Radio 1’s Newsbeat, a role which made him responsible for getting a 15 minute national news programme to air, using multiple outside sources, live reports and working to tight deadlines under immense pressure. During this time he was involved in bringing several ground breaking news stories to air including live rolling coverage of the 7/7 bombings and outside broadcasts from the iconic Live 8 event.

He has produced content for numerous programmes at BBC Radio 1 including Tim Westwood, Scott Mills, Radio 1’s Chart Show, 6-Weeks-Of-Summer tour, Radio 1’s 40th Birthday Celebrations and the Sunday Surgery.

Micky has also been responsible for live radio streaming from IAAF athletics events - producing and engineering content with commentators and a roving reporter from numerous athletic stadia around the world. He provided a full technical rig and microphones, mixers, processing and broadcast equipment - producing content for the web, radio stations around the world and local FM broadcast.

He is equally at ease in the studio as he is broadcasting from anywhere around the globe.
