SRA Selector Winner off to Mexico!
09 April 2014, Posted in: Company news

Back in October Folded Wing and The British Council partnered with the Student Radio Association (SRA) and gave six student presenters the chance to produce and present a special SRA version of The Selector on their own university stations. Now, six months later, we gave them the chance to enter their best show into a competition to win the prize of a lifetime... a trip to Ibero 90.9 FM, The Selector's sister station in Mexico City!

We were very impressed by all of the entries from our student presenters, and so was The British Council's Phil Catchpole, who said: “This initiative has been a fantastic experience. Thanks to Folded Wing and the Student Radio Association we have been able to provide tremendous in depth radio production and presenting skills training to some of the most exciting, up and coming British talent. Being able to use The Selector to do this has been a great way of connecting with young people in the UK and providing opportunities both here and abroad.”

And the winner is... Jack Saunders from Fly FM, Nottingham Trent University! Congratulations Jack! Big congratulations to all the finalists for their brilliant work and very high standard of entries. It was not easy deciding the winner!

We're also delighted to confirm that the SRA Selector project will be happening again, so keep your eyes peeled for details on how to enter later in the year.
