Everyone here at Folded Wing is very excited about our first show with Monki going live this coming Monday 2nd December on BBC Radio 1 & 1Xtra from 2-4am.
Expect loads of the hottest, freshest new music, representing all corners of the club, plus a brand new Lights On mix to look out for, with Monki kicking things off this week with the first Lights On mix, and loads of great guest DJs doing mixes over the next few weeks and months.
So what's a Lights On mix?
You know that special moment at the end of a club night when the DJ's finished their set but the crowd still want more, so the DJ keeps on playing even though the lights in the club are getting switched on?! A 'Lights On' mix is about REAL party music. Those feelgood tunes that you wouldn't expect the DJ to normally play that keep the hardcore party people on the dancefloor to the very end.
