Exciting news!

This week the first SRA (Student Radio Association) versions of our show The Selector for the British Council were broadcast; the student stations taking part in the project came to Folded Wing last week for a day of production and presenting training, and this week they all started broadcasting their own weekly versions of The Selector on their respective student radio stations.

Jack Saunders of Fly FM from Nottingham Trent launched his first SRA Selector show on Wednesday 16th October from 2pm and 4pm. Jack had a session from local Nottingham band OneBoyOneGirl; the session was also filmed and posted online.

Louis Chadwick of Shock Radio from the University Of Salford launched his SRA Selector show from 10pm to midnight on the same day. Louis had some great music from Nick Mulvey and China Rats, plus a session from Annie Eve.

Lauren Rosewarne from RaW1251am in Warwick was up next on Thursday between 8pm and 10pm. Lauren had a session from Lucy Mason on the show.

The next SRA Selector show to go on air is on Forge Radio from the University Of Sheffield, presented by Michael Walmsley. Michael will be on air between 6pm-8pm on Friday (18th October) and has local act Avida Dollars in the studio for a chat.
