We have a very exciting show lined up for Jamie Cullum on BBC Radio 2 next week. Alongside the usual hour of jazz, Jamie has a very special Maida Vale session.

On Tuesday 20th August, Jamie has BBC Maida Vale session tracks from an all-star Kit Downes Ensemble.

British pianist Kit Downes has brought together the cream of the British jazz scene throughout the decades for this exclusive session for Jamie's show. Kit's usual quintet is joined by Chris Montague on guitar, Julian Siegel on bass clarinet, Lewis Wright on drums and vibes and the great tenor saxophonist Stan Sulzmann to play tracks from Kit's latest album 'Light From Old Stars'. It is definitely one not to be missed!

In the meantime you can listen back to Jamie's show this week on the BBC iPlayer, Jamie has music from Gregory Porter and Natalie Williams, a collaboration between Elvis Costello and The Roots, plus a BBC Archive Track from Coleman Hawkins!
