Don't miss two great new Folded Wing documentaries on BBC Radio 1Xtra!

Following our Aaliyah documentary of last year, we have two more programmes in this year's 'Gone Too Soon' series on BBC Radio 1Xtra, this time looking at the lives and music of ODB of the Wu-Tang Clan and Gil Scott-Heron.

'Gone Too Soon - The Story of ODB' aired last night (14th October) on BBC 1Xtra at 9pm. Charlie Sloth takes us on a kaleidoscopic journey through the life, times and rhymes of late Wu-Tang Clan rapper and interminable clown prince of hip-hop, ODB.

'Gone Too Soon - The Story of Gil Scott-Heron' airs next Sunday (21st October) on BBC 1Xtra at 9pm. Benji B celebrates the life of the musician, song-writer, poet, novelist and major-influencer of what we now know as hip-hop. Featuring interviews with Brian Jackson, Jamie xx, Richard Russell (XL Records), Speech Debelle, KRS-One, Mos Def, Chuck D and many of Gil's family and friends.
