Jamie Cullum’s BBC Radio 2 jazz show has picked up the Silver Trophy in the Best Jazz Format category at the New York Festivals International Radio Awards.

This is the second accolade Jamie and his BBC Radio 2 show have received this year after Jamie picked up the Jazz Broadcaster of the Year award at the 2012 Parliamentary Jazz Awards last month.

Two of Folded Wing’s other productions - Gloria Estefan’s Latin Beat on BBC Radio 2 and The Selector for the British Council - were Finalist Award Winners in the Best Music Special and Best Regularly Scheduled Music Program categories respectively.

Last night’s ceremony in New York awarded the ‘World’s Best Radio Programs’ and UK won numerous gold, silver and bronze awards across all categories.
