Congratulations to Jamie Cullum for winning the Jazz Broadcaster of the Year award at the 2012 Parliamentary Jazz Awards!

Speaking about the accolade Jamie said, "It was an amazing honour to receive a Parliamentary Jazz Award, which celebrates the best of British jazz, and I'm really humbled to be included in that list of people."

Broadcaster Paul Gambaccini hosted the ceremony at the House of Commons’ Terrace Pavilion on 16th May. The event was organised by the All Party Parliamentary Jazz Appreciation Group and is now in its eighth year.

Jamie's BBC Radio 2 show was also recently nominated for an award in the ‘Best Jazz Format’ category at the New York Festivals Radio Awards.

Jamie commented, "The New York radio awards are an incredibly prestigious organisation recognising great radio all over the world. Plus their awards are about the prettiest ones out there. I am thrilled to be nominated for the second year in a row."
